The ARTS Center "Spotlight"
Pat Jensen Retires and Cindy Wolf Joins the Arts Center Team!
The ARTS Center bids
goodbye to Pat Jensen, who is retiring, and welcomes Cynthia Tribelhorn Wolf,
who will be our new library-media specialist.
Pat has been with the ARTS Center since its
beginning in 1996. She has been invaluable in helping to create the direction
and vision for the ARTS Center, developing and maintaining an extensive arts
collection and automating the collection. Along with Maggie Reysen, of
Library Services, she originated “Words and Images”, an exhibition of
illustrated poetry, which has been quite well-received. She has been
responsible for making and maintaining connections with various literature and
arts groups, resulting in some very successful collaborations. In our
workshops she has inspired us all with her enthusiasm and love of literature and
the arts. Her husband, Dal, has been our webmaster and computer “guru”. We
are very fortunate that he has agreed to continue to help us....thanks, Dal!
Good luck, Pat! We will miss you!
Our new library-media specialist, Cynthia
Wolf, comes to us with a Master of Arts in Librarianship and Information
Management and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in art history. Her
varied background includes being a classroom teacher, college professor,
research consultant and a librarian for public and school libraries.
Her most recent position has been at
Bellehaven Elementary School as librarian and technology consultant. As a Lucent
coach, Cindy has worked with other coaches and school staff members to follow
the process. She feels that the idea of “critical friends groups” is a
productive path to professional development.
Cindy is very excited to be able to combine
both her love and knowledge of the arts with her library experience and
expertise....and we are excited to have her! Welcome, Cindy!
