Our Mission

• To provide arts resources for classroom teachers and other APS staff, parents, community organizations, UNM faculty and students.

  •     "Arts resources" are defined as:

    • a wide range of instructional materials including books, prints, slides, videos,CDs, tapes, kits, manipulatives, instruments, samples, etc.

    • the time and extensive expertise of an experienced art teacher, music teacher, and library media specialist

• To provide training for classroom teachers and other APS staff through:

  • Classroom demonstrations

  • school-site workshops

  • workshops presented at the ARTS Center

  ---

• To provide support for ARTS Center patrons such as:

  • one-on-one curriculum planning with teachers and other staff

  • maintaining a network with arts-related community organizations

  • serving as an arts training site for teachers and student teachers in the arts
